The Graveyard

So, I was thinking about Star Wars at work (which is often the case) and also thinking this about a particular area in this webcomic I'm helping a friend with. It's supposed to be an area where a terrible war happened and left behind a variety of derelict planets and broken-up ships and trash like all those exercise bicycles nobody can seem to get rid of... and I was thinking about the Death Star and that it really didn't have a big enough impact if you're trying to leave an example. I mean you blow the planet to little shimmering bits and that's that and nobody really knows what happened there in the future. So I was thinking that it would be way more damaging if you had a superweapon that sliced a planet like a tomato and then you just left the population to slowly die. Nobody would forget those guys for awhile.
