So, this is a bit of a followup to Aestus in a way. Liked the way that turned out so figured I'd try it with exploding a planet. Tried it with more of a cool look at first, but it didn't look quite right and after some thought didn't really make much sense either. Kinda got to figure that if something was going to blow a planet apart, it would be really hot and really violent. I would think. So I went in that direction instead and redid the lighting for the render in Modo. Mucho better.

For some odd reason I decided to do this reeeallly big at a resolution of 4000 x 4000. That being the case this is actually a cropped version; the full-size version is quite a bit longer. Lost too much detail if I resized the whole thing though. Eh, the whole thing was probably a bad idea because it made for a 252 mb PSD and nearly 200 layers.

Might put up a sideways wallpaper version of this later. I like sideways things.

Hell yeah! I love that kind of stuff! This things around the "sun" in the middle (they surely have a name, but my damn English is poor :P) look to me like burning stripes of spiderweb. Really :)
Anyway - it's great!
