I'm Alive!
Well shucks, by my estimation it's been ages since I've updated this thing. I haven't been totally gone, though, still worthwhile to browse through everything once and awhile, though lately I've pretty much been sticking to illustration and photography.
I haven't really made any space art in the past few months. Just hasn't felt right, and to be honest it's a genre that's really starting to feel generic to me. With a few exceptions every once in awhile it feels like I'm looking at the same thing over and over. Maybe in time it'll start to perk up, who knows. Then again, maybe not. I've always felt that by definition, space art is strongly in the realm of science fiction. And if it's in the realm of science fiction, why not go crazy with it? Realism is important to a degree I suppose, but 99% of space art is based on things that have never been seen anyway. Despite that, it just feels like I'm seeing the same nebula, planet and star combinations over and over.
In the meantime, I'm going to start putting my illustration work up on here instead. I never really have for a few reasons, but it's time to turn over a new leaf, I think.

Destiny is not a matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It's not a thing to be waited for - it is a thing to be achieved.
